'HOPE IS A GOLDEN ROPE' 'TRUST AND UNDERSTANDING PEOPLE HELP US ALONG'

Greetings Friends,

As the news began this a.m., what did we hear?  Fear is heighten in Washington D.C. with angry shooters, once again.  It seems there are so many non-trusting, insecure, lost people out there in our world.  Their thoughts are focused on hurting others in return.

In light of this, I felt this poem might help cushion our emotions just a bit. Does this poem solve any problems of today so far away?  No, but it only take a seed as small as a mustard seed of faith, hope, trust to touch a person.  And, in turn, hopefully, spread across our land.  One small step at a time.  Our hope can connect to just one person in an attempt to try to help in some way to bridge so many broken hearts for so many different reasons each day.  There can be peace, hope, faith through prayer that can be powerful. Each prayer spoken in each person's own way, filters through ways we cannot understand but it does allow the Spirit to be felt in hearts far from our sight.  This is called Faith, Hope, Trust in something bigger then ourselves, indeed.
I wrote this poem in 1992 but I feel the same today.

'HOPE IS A GOLDEN ROPE'

Hope is a 'Golden Rope'.
Perhaps, a 'heavenly rope' we cannot see.
Love can cushion many fears
and comfort hope to free.

Hope, trust and understanding people
help us to appreciate any gift of love.
It is vital to know when to let go
with gracious patience from above.

Sometimes it takes years and years
to believe there are true friends to be found.
And, not from just the well known class,
but, from simple folk from common ground.

'Hope' is the 'Golden Rope' to heaven.
May we give thanks for even things we cannot see.
Faith, Hope, Trust in 'One Spirit' are heavenly gifts
that abides in 'our hearts' that set all people free.

Let us all pause today and remember all of the people that are involved in this Headline Fearful event in Washington D.C. today.

Until next time

'A Time to Reflect, Be Gentle With Others'

Greetings Friends,
Today is a day to reflect and look around at the cosmic world near and far.
What do we see?  We see joy, hurt, hardship, confusion, insecurity and brotherly love.  A mix bag, if you will.

What are our thoughts as we start a new day.  Maybe, it is Time to Reflect, Be Gentle with Others.
'Showing Concern'
'Lending a Hand'
There are a lot of  'new beginnings' at this time of year.  School is starting for many children, college is beginning for many students.  Teachers are starting back to teach and many other new beginnings are taking place.  There are many couples that are expecting a new baby at this time and the list can go on and on.

There are persons that have received some sad news of a health concern that is just beginning, persons are hearing that their employment is in jeopardy.  There are persons that are retiring and starting to adjust to retirement and there are newly weds starting a new life with their loved one.

In the midst of so many different situations happening with the many shoulders that we might brush against each day, do we ever truly realize what might be going on within the hearts of each individual.  Of course, we do not.

This might be the very reason that persons act toward others in the way that they do sometimes.  Their emotions are frail and raw and any little misdirected word will set them off.

We never know what the other person is carrying within their heart and we can easily take things for granted.  It might be good to discern what might be going on in another person heart before we speak, approach, comment or acknowledge them.

It is in the simple things of life that just might be some of the most important things that we might do to help another.

I have listened to two different persons in different states this past week that sensed another was in great pain for two totally different reasons.  The persons that were sensing these hurts stated exactly the same thing to the person that was hurting.

As they listened to the person, they paused and shared with the individual that they did not know what  they were going through but they cared.  They would be there for them in any way that they could.  The persons receiving this, 'I don't know what you are going through' statement, from these totally two different persons in two totally different situations and circumstances were very grateful to hear these words.  Now, if they had no idea as to what they were going through why do you think they were grateful to hear it from them.  Perhaps, because they knew that they 'CARED'.

No, we have no idea as to what other persons are going through but we can 'CARE'.  Sometimes, we think we hold and/or know all of the answers to shower on such persons.  When we do think this and say that, we will loose them.  They do not want clichés.  They know that we don't know the answers.  They want somebody that will be honest and be a 'human soul' that they can relate to.  They want to know somebody cares enough to admit that they do not know what to do but they will walk with them through this valley on their journey.  That's all they want.  To Be Gentle and Care.

So, we all will be a better and bigger person within our hearts if/when we take 'Time to Reflect, Be Gentle With Others'.  None of us are exempt from this time in our lives.

I will share a poem that will reflect 'Caring' in my next post.
Until next time
God Bless

Memorial Day Holiday - United We Stand

There are so many reasons that people celebrate the Memorial Day Holiday.

As I think about so many of us spending this time to relax, picnics, camping, Indy 500 race, summer activities, visiting families and friends and so many other activities, I hope all of us do not forget the real meaning of this holiday.

Our Freedom is priceless and taken for granted.  May we pause and give thanks for the many that have dedicated their lives and services to fight for our freedom.  Without those people, we would not be enjoying the many events that we have been and are enjoying this weekend.

Let us give thanks and pray for the many families that have lost their loved ones fighting for our freedom.

We salute all Veterans of War and the many that are serving our country today.  May God Bless each and every one!

As we are experiencing many evil and harmful acts in our world today, may we never forget that there are some treasures in our trials. Perhaps, they are  designed to shake us free from earth-shackles.  It is very hard to find secure reasons why things happen the way that they do.  It is very easy to lose hope.

However, there are other blessings that hopefully reveal 'a higher power' of love and hope to strengthen our faith.  Those blessings might be through sunshine, flowers, birds, friendships, music, answered prayer.  Plus, these blessings can give us insight and reflection as to the many blessings that we do have and experience everyday.  These can be powerful 'tools' to bring us back on track to 'a purpose and goals' to strive to support and encourage our  'soldiers' that are fighting each and every day for our 'FREEDOM'.

May we always and ever search for a deeper treasure as we go through each day.  It might be a miracle as to what we find along the way.

TODAY WE LOOK BEYOND OUR PAIN.....ATTACK-BOSTON....physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually

Today as I ponder and reflect with a heavy heart as to what is going on in our world, especially, in Boston this week, it brings many emotions to the surface.  As I have posted with the importance of positive thinking and turning negatives into positives, it is very hard to do when we hurt.

The pain in the hurt doesn't have priorities to the subject.  Nor does this attacker/attackers care of the value of human life.

To survive and gather our thoughts, hope, courage, and continue on our journey is what much take priority in this very deep valley that we have fallen into.  And, again, the percentage of pain, aching in our hearts and all of the negativity that we feel, the only way is up and onward to our ultimate goal to finish this race, so to speak, on our journey.

We do not feel the extend of the pain unless it hit us directly but we can feel and know in our hearts that there is a connection from hence we have come and the flow of God's creation that was/is meant to be.

As we continue to cope, feel and hold onto hope, courage, 'a calm' and persevere, may we stop on our way in whatever busy world we think we live in and say a prayer, give a hug, jot a note to brighten another's day.  Look up in the sky to see it's beauty, feel the wind, smell a flower, touch nature in some fashion and give Thanks for what we do have and know in our hearts that we all are truly blessed as we lay our head down at night.

These reflections from my camera's lens are meant for anybody that wants to see the beauty that is so near to our Creator of Love and Peace.  These similar reflections are all around us.  Now, sit back and drink in the 'little things' that come our way that can make a big difference at the end of our day.  There is meaning and a purpose for His good in the scope of our daily life and living.
