Amazing Orchids That Look Just Like Animals! And, Yes, they are real Orchid Flowers!

Animals that Look like an Orchid Flower

I begin today by expressing how I love nature so much.  I can just sit and ponder and lose myself in 'nature's wonder'.  It calms my heart and gives me pleasure of thanksgiving.

One day as I was looking up various flowers and etc. of nature's beauty, I ran across these beautiful Orchid Flowers that look so very much like animals.  I found the article so fascinating.

We all very well know that these Orchids are not really animals.  However, these species look so much like animals that it is interesting to share them with others.

I will share a few pictures of various orchids that look like a White Egret Orchid, a Bee Orchid and a Flying Duck.  First, let me share a little about these specific orchids.

These rare orchids only grow in the cloud forests of southeastern
Ecuador and Peru at elevations of 1,000-2,000 meters on the side of mountains.

Bee Orchid
What makes these flowers even cooler is that they smell just like a ripe orange when fully blossomed.

Perhaps, these 'Orchids of Animals' have given someone a little pleasure today.  Perhaps, these 'Orchids of Animals' have given a hint of 'nature's beauty' is 'divine'.   Perhaps, these 'Orchids of Animals'' beauty is in the 'eye of the beholder'.

I, personally, find these 'Orchids of Animals'; fascinating, interesting and a small part of God's creation of all things.

Until next time,

Is There a Reason for Each Season?

Yes, I believe that there is 'A Reason for Each Season'.

I post this writing today with the excitement that Spring has arrived!  Most of us have been waiting and waiting.  And at times, waiting not so patiently for the warmer weather to arrive and the calendar to read: 'First Day of Spring'.  However, it has arrived and the blooming of the various flowers and tree blooms have confirmed that 'Spring is in the Air'!  And, most of us WELCOME IT, with open arms.

I chose this title today for this writing because I feel that there is so much to learn and reflect on in each season of the year. There is a favorite season for most of us and they will vary with each individual.  These isn't one of the four seasons that is conclusive of beauty and without risk of harm; however, for the most part, there usually is one that will be selected for one's favorite of the four to choose from.

Spring is my favorite for several reasons.  There are more things that I like and enjoy in the season of Spring.  I will share some of those reasons through this poem that I have penned: The Magnolia Tree

   THE MAGNOLIA TREE

Not long ago, the Magnolia tree was so barren.
There wasn't any life in sight.
The winter weather has been a tough one.
Now spring has arrived changing things into flight.

The little branches have hints of green
and their tiny blooms are coming forth.
Oh, the excitement each day
seeing and snapping another pic of new growth.

The birds will soon be coming
to prepare for their new babies a bed.
A place to be cradled and nestled in warmth.
A safe place for the babies to be fed.

Isn't it strange how we long for each season
to come at their scheduled time each year?
The spring time of new beginnings, I have chosen
for my favorite season and hold very dear.

The trimming of the old growth in our gardens and lawns,
I anxiously want to go out and trim away.
Allowing the new growth to start anew
fulfilling its' new purpose, day after day.

Is there a 'Reason in each Season' of the Year
that would be good for us all to heed?
Perhaps, the message is a 'God given example'
of how all of us can start anew, again and again.
